I think the carrera gt was taking really good lines. Remember that different lines *can be* better for different cars. But obviously I'm no expert.
By the way, I think that e30 has 550hp or so @ 1.35 BAR. (~20psi, but depends on elevation). The S4 he's racing at the beginning is supposed to have ~580hp. Plus Jay, I think that e30 driver can afford to be a little more daring in his e30 than the chap in the carrera gt.
