Thinking about getting a Cadillac CTS-V? Think Again.

A rather interesting video of this guy down in Atlanta who has a Cadillac CTS-V. I can't believe all the problems with that car.

What are you thoughts about this?

I watched the whole thing and it looked to me like he had more than "one damn problem" and he had those problems multiple times. Are you a GM owner and defender of the faith or something?

I like american cars and i dont own one. Nothing wrong wth being unbiased.

Im sure i can find plenty of stories like this one on bmw or audi forums. Not all cars are perfect and we do have lemon laws for a reason.

I hate how people stereotype, if we all listened to others then we would all think euro cars are unreliable and cost a lot to maintain. Yet we still own them.

Hell my girlfriend has a 98 sebring with 75k miles. No issues at all. Her dad even has a ford van with over 120k miles...rattles up the ass but been reliable.

Find me one damn N/A motor that can do what a ls1 can. You can't. Most FI motors still can't either. And don't give me hp per cylinder shit, I am talking about max power and minimum weight. The ls1 weighs less than any motor in the m50 family. With a T-56, a F-body also gets 30 mpg on the highway. This is why I defend GM when no one else does. They can build an amazing engine. If people knew a damn thing about the engine they would wish BMW had put it in the e36/46/92 M3.

Styling wise, I am not a fan of most GM products, but style is all personal opinion. Motor quality is facts, unless it is a s62 which is under debate currently.

Car: four wheels one turbo

bmwperson has disabled reputation
s62, 5v(s62) vs 5.7(ls1) makes 394hp/369tq(s62) vs 350/320 I dont feel like looking up weights but my turbo m3 makes more power then that with the boost controler off... m50 powar

ls1 are nice engines but its not like GM has some ground breaking technology in it. As for the guy ni the video he destroyed alot more stuff driving it like that. All the vibration kills electronics, sensors etc.
