I really hope so, but I doubt it. It's a little too low I think, but we'll see

On a second thought, the European Delivery might be around that price, that would be a steal and tons of people will be doing EDs.

and here are some updated photos, high-res:

If that price point puts people back in a new car showroom, myself included, then let it happen. I doubt many people would actually purchase a stripped down 128i, myself included. I really like the 5 door hatchback which allows weekend-type room for the kids and errands yet still fun during the week. I think most would agree, bring the hatch again and it will sell, myself included.

Thanks for all the pics. I think the coupe rear was only given a small spanking of Bangle this time and it looks pretty good.

Price estimates listed in the July C&D are ~28k for the 128 and 35k for the 135. The 135 reportedly weighs about 300 lbs less than the 335 but for the price......despite semi-serious consideration, I don't think I'd get one new.

The same guy that was going to buy an M3?

Hmm.. After thinking about that, I don't know that it will be an M3 replacement. Unfortunately though, I could see a lot of the kids who buy (or are bought) Evos and STi's turning in this direction. Just what the BMW brand needs, the image of drivers being both snobs and punks.

I listen to nothing but punk in my BMW.

I still think the 335 is a better car, but the 135 being cheaper, it will attract a large crowd. Time will tell though, even though the press BMW is getting these days is amazing.

I can see that on my website and blog as well.
