new guy comin to town
hey what's up everybody? i'm jake and i'm on my way up to you guys. we're moving in from san diego, ca. i'm a vw nut, i've had a few(all mk2 and 3's) and i'm always looking for another. if only i had as much money as i deserve!! anyway, hope to meet up with some of you guys in the next couple weeks. i love working on cars, so if you need any help with anything(i've done everything from replacing tranny's to clutch jobs to simple tune ups) feel free to contact me. hopefully i'm gonna have lots of free time to play. later guys and gals

welcome to etk! have a safe trip over to the midwest, but I am tellin ya, what a shitty time to move over here. Leaving nice weather in southern cali for the start of our crappy weather.

hey man welcome to etk! yeah I agree with above, you're not going to like the weather here lol
 do you know what part of Chicago you're going to be at? as most of the weekly meets are held toward the northwest suburbs.

we're leaving here on monday(the 27th), so we should be there by the 1st. yeah, i know i'm not going to dig the weather. i lived there almost a year, but that was in 2000. i kinda remember how crappy the weather was, but i'm sure it's going to be a shocker. i'm going to be living right below waukegan, near the base where i'm going to work
