So I think I've made a decision. Yes, B6 S4. What do you know? Eats tires? Good in the winter? Common issues? Find me one please! I'm ready to buy now!

Did you drive one yet?

Common issues I know of:

- Starters
- MAFs
- Coil packs

Get ready, everything is going to be a lot more expensive than your everyday E36. There aren't as many DIY's out there. I drove one, liked it... but didn't love it. The power and torque was definitely there, but I just didn't love it enough to spend ~20k on one at the time.

I've had one for 4 years and had zero problems, it did everything well almost to a fault. Just get a set of good all seasons and you are set.

My sis has a B6 S4 Tip Convertible and hasn't had a single problem in 50k miles of ownership. Then again, she doesn't quite drive like me

Pros:
Excellent Interior
Chassis was a nice improvement over the B5
Year-Round driveability
V8 sounds great with the right exhaust

Cons:
MPG
No real good/worthwhile tuning options
Can be pricey to fix(however, contrary to popular belief on this forum, Audi's are no less reliable than BMW's and the B6 doesn't really have any known "watch-out for's")

Overall a good choice for a year-round DD as long as you don't care about your gas budget

I've also heard that third gear in the B6 S4 will send you back in time to stop a machine from killing your son.

According to top gear, they also put down better lap times than e46 M3.
