New ride... :) --Pics added--

So I did things a little out of order from what I initially planned, as I came across a deal I couldn't really pass up.

Picked up an '86 944 Turbo last night. Black on black/tan, factory sport seats, 130k miles. Paint still shines, some nicks, scratches and swirls but considering it's 25 years old, it's in really great shape (nothing some work with a buffer can't fix.) Interior is in ok shape (no rips on the seats or anything), the carpet should clean up nice with a shampoo. It's got a cheesy dash cover on it, so I'm pretty sure the actual dash underneath probably has some cracks in it (which is typical for the 944.)

The mechanical condition is why I bought it. Fresh drivetrain (motor + trans, less than 2k on 'em), all done by Midwest Eurosport in Bensenville. New Bilstein Cup kit just installed, recent rotors + PF97 pads (stock street pads included) and stainless lines. 18" CCW wheels, 3" exhaust, Weltmeister chip, harness bar (w/harnesses), Michelin Pilot Sport Cups... I know I'm forgetting stuff. Everything works on the car, drives super tight and solid. Doesn't even really have any squeaks and rattles.

It's got a super aggressive alignment on it now (definitely set up for track use), gonna see if I can get it in to my buddy today for a quick alignment to tone it down a bit. Car f*ckin STICKS when you crank a corner (I got more brave with the car once I got closer to home), though it gets a LOT better the harder you push it. 50% through an off ramp and the car feels a little darty... but pick up 10-15mph and it takes a "set" and is planted. I am undeniably impressed with how stable and FLAT it stays in a hard corner. But I'm gonna shred the tires the way it sits, so I want to tone it down a bit (it's got a TON of front and rear camber.)

Got in late last night, so didn't really take any pics. Gonna run and get plates from the DMV in a bit, will try to snap some pictures later this morning when I wipe it down (covered in bugs from the trip home.)

sweet purchase. Back in 1986, I used to see those in my high school parking lot.

Here's a few pics. Don't look too closely, it's dirty, I need to clean it still.

And where she will live (after the topsoil guy delivers, and I clear, 12 yards of dirt from the driveway):

Hey, congrats! That'll be a wicked fun track toy.
