Z if I find the new track car underpowered I will be forced to bust out my secret track driving technique on the long straights at ABCC. It involves getting in the S4 and going WFO open down the straights for maximum passing in the noob Group.

I'm the biggest noob with shittiest car so I lose immediately haha. But I WILL try, maybe not as hard as autox because in case of failure of any type consequences are much bigger.

Btw, anybody used HTC-70s? I'm thinking of picking up a used set for the front. This heavy beast needs A LOT of brakes.

The Audi folks run a very good event. Weather permitting, I am in for all 3 days.

Look forward to seeing some familiar and new faces.

Now lets all pray for some 50+ degree (non-wet) weather

This is one of the best events! Full track is best IMHO. It's a great way to start the season! I don't have an Audi but I've been in the club for years. Usually a nice mix of cars and great people!
DO IT! Joliet is close enough that you can do it without a hotel.

Cool. What would you think if I bought slightly used set? I think they come off a T1 Corvette and have 60% or so of pad left. This is my first track day and I'm not planning on being too harsh on brakes, so I think it will be fine. Plus, it's hell of a lot cheaper at $80 vs $250 new. If they last me those two days of this event, I'd be happy.
