Winter Tires?

I have a 2000 BMW 323i with a PSS9 coilover kit. Ever since I upgraded the suspension, the car has been wicked terrible in the snow. I bought a set of P Zero Nero M+S tires last year and they were a little better. For those with rear wheel drive cars that use winter tires, do they make that big of a difference?

A good set of winter tires makes all the difference. If you thought all-seasons was an improvement, a dedicated snow tire will really win you over.

the stiffer suspension will make it more likely to spin the wheels. snow tires FTW.

For winter I am using Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50, huge difference. After switching to winter tires, now I’m actually looking forward to snow.

Same here (except I run Michelin Alpins). During that big snow fall we got last December, I made the haul to work with a co-worker and he was amazed that I could dirve pretty normal and was passing SUV's. I also scared the crap out of him, too, though, 'cause I was having a blast on Palatine Rd just East of Algonquin Rd. It was a fun drive though.

Offset and tire size are off, but they will work with the right tire. Not exactly ideal winter wheels. Just buy a cheap set of 15's from an E36.
