What do you want to use the car for? Just street driving? Do you have a budget in mind?

its gonna be alot of street driving but i would like to take it to a track if i could. i dont want to go all crazy. price im not sure about because iv been looking at some bilstein things. iv been told thats the best thing to put on a bmw but im not sure. i think kits were just over 1000 but not sure what else i would need. just the kit and im all set. or of i do coil overs is there any other things i need to get. i would like the car to sit a little lower and corner a little better. i was even thinking to get suspension off an m3, but figured of im gonna do it might as well do it right.

Get Koni adjustable shocks and H&R/Eibach springs. Don't forget to upgrade your rear shock mounts (RSMs) and rear trailing arm bushings (RTABs). An x-brace is also a good addition and will stiffen up the chassis. I would also look at your front control arm bushings and ball joints as they deteriorate over time. Because you don't have an M3, you can replace the ball joints without replacing the whole control arm. Personally, I would also change the power steering hoses, upgrade tranny mounts, and get F+R sway bars.

Most importantly, get a PROPER alignment.

You can search around but I've had good luck with Bimmerworld.com and Understeer.com. The exact cost will vary with the amount of components you buy. You can just go with springs, shocks, RSMs, and RTABs for <1k.
If you have any other questions feel free to send me a PM because I've replaced almost every suspension component on my car

That's a big investment Z. If I were in his shoes I'd hold off on some of that for now... I'd def. skip the sways and probably the tranny mounts for now. Get under the car or at a shop and check the PS hoses, the control arms and ball joints, the RTAB's before you replace them. Those are wear items that may or may not be due.

I would second the x-brace, RSM's.

I've got the Koni/Eibach setup and love it. You could also look at a less expensive alternative, I thought Monroe or Sachs made shocks for lowered cars too.

I have Koni single adjustables and H&R sport springs. I always wish I had a more aggressive setup for autoX. It's a great street ride though.
