Kosei K1's

Does anyone here have experience with these wheels? I'm about to commit to buying a set in nice shape for my M3. This car is a daily driver and I might do a handfull of DE's each year. They're 17 x 8.5.

Great value, light weight, and decent looks. I don't know about the current production status, but they're always "out of production" or about to be, so replacement availability might be an issue in the future. They are all over the place at the track because of the price and weight.

I put them on my car recently. I can't tell you much about them yet other than - they took a hell of a beating on lake shore drive. I slammed a pothole one morning and bent the rim, considering how hard I hit it the damage wasn't bad at all. D was able to bend it back into shape. I'm a fan.

Brad - no idea on center caps. I didn't even bother trying to fit my other wheels roundel center caps into them. Do you think they would fit?

Jim, you shouldn't be running bent wheels. Maybe you should give them to me

i don't think the bmw caps fit. i've always had these wheels in the back of my mind though. especially with the stiffer suspension now, less weight should make it more compliant.

Hahaha Z keep dreaming

They were on closeout last fall at TireRack, when I picked them up. It looks like they're still available, although price has gone up some. It's good to know some spares are still on the market.

Thanks for the comments. I picked the wheels up over the weekend. The first thing I did was remove the stickers, they look muck nicer now. They are in near perfect condition too. Now I'm just waiting for my stud kit and Wilwood BBK to show up. I would be nice if I can install everything this weekend.

I used a heat gun, a brand new razor blade and Goo Gone. You have to be very careful with the heat gun and razor.
