Sumitomo HTR+ VS. Hankook Ventus HRII H405

Anyone have good/bad reviews about them?

These are all-season tires and I might be using them for the winter season as well.

Thanks in advance

I have heard good things in general on Hankook, but the consensus about Sumitomo as a company doesn't seem to be well accepted. What do I know though...

You guys are right, I heard a lot of mixed reviews about them.

I have been using sumitomo HTR+ for a while on my contours. For regular street driving it serves fine. It wears very good, i have been using the same tire for 5 years. Sucks in the snow and I wouldn't take it to the track.

With respect to Chicago snow, what do you rate HTR+ from a scale of 1-10?

It's not always about the tire pattern but also the compound. I drove the ASX over the winter and they were pretty good. But then again anything on a FWD is fairly decent. If there is a lot of snow accumulated then there is nothing better than snow tires. Well maybe studded snow tires

Buy some KDW2's for the summer and call it a day...

lol...sorry i just thought id make a useless post. i have no real information for you on those tires. I personally would go with the hankooks though. I feel like they are a little more well respected company.
