Potenza RE070 vs... ?

So it's time to swap on some new rubber on the GTI. For a summer tire I've been running the Potenza RE070 (OE tire for the Subaru STi.) I love this tire. Sticks awesome. Great for track and autocross, and I plan to do more of that this year. Noisy and stiff but I don't care. Neither does the wife.

Poking around on TireRack, I've found some promising reviews on the RE-01R. The ratings are actually higher, but the user reviews also talk about it being "quiet" and "a decent daily driver tire."

I want good performance. Should I just stick with the RE070? Is the RE-01R a step up/comparable/step down? What about the Falken Azenis (which are cheaper but Grassroots gives them great reviews)?

Thanks!

Might want to check out the new Dunlop Direzzas Z1 Star Specs. I was stuck between the Azenis, RE-01Rs and the Dunlops.

I chose the Dunlops

Since I haven't seen you at a track event or autocross all year those tires may last a while.....
