Car: 2001 BMW 330Ci

new tires needed for BMW 330Ci

First of all, hello everybody. I'm a new member here, hoping to learn something new.

Here is some background: I just bought 2001 BMW 330Ci, sport package in mint condition with only 59.xxx miles. So far, I haven't had any issues with the car and hopefully it will remain that way :-)

Now, the only thing my baby needs is new rear tires, and maybe alignment. I have continental tires on the car, and rear ones are worn out unevenly. Tire noise is horrible, and my only remedy so far was turning up loud my Harman Kardon stereo :-) I'd like to enjoy engine sound though, and my only option is getting new tires.

Now few questions. How good is the idea of replacing only rear tires, especially with a different brand? Are all season tires any good (I've found some bad reviews). I'm not planning to drive my car in snow, but wouldn't mind getting all season tires, just in case my beater car breaks down.
And finally recommendation of tires and installation shop. I'm not too happy to spend 800-900 bucks for new tires, but if it's the only reasonable option, I'll do it. My driving style is spirited I'd say. I do not drag race or anything, still I want to be able to enjoy handling of my car.

Thanks!

P.S. also, I could use some recommendations for a good detailing shop in downtown Chicago.

Do you have a price limit?

Generals UHP are the best "bang for the buck".
As for a shop, its a no brainer A&L Autobody in Palatine mounts and balances tires.

I don't believe in all season tires, unless your car is FWD lol.
