Hoosier R6's

Anybody running Hoosier R6's on the track?

What kind of tire pressures (hot and cold) are you running?

Try corner-carvers.com or the SCCAforums.com

It will depend on your tires width, cars weight, and days conditions. I say start 32 cold and hope for 39 hot to start. Adjust from there.

Matt for your car the book says start 27-32 cold and 38-42 hot. I usually like to start near 29 cold and end up 39-40 hot.

Settle down there cone killa'. We're looking for track tires, not autocross tires.

actually, I posted some questions on RX-8 club and got some good info from the tirerack guys who have tracked both the hoosier r6 and the Bf goodrich g-force R1. There described the BFG as more forgiveable and also more durable and recommended them. They did, however, caution me that r comps were addictive...

this is all pretty irrevelant now since I'm going to ditch the car in the spring and won't be buying r comps for it.

So you win a race and you get a magic chart that tells you tire pressures for every car /tire/ size combination?

weight of the car. I figured your car weighs in the 2900-3300 pound range.....So i used the pressures I use for my car.
