Car: 2000 Audi A6 Avant 2.8

Road_Carver just got his permit
Question Man I like these wheels....

eBay Motors: 17" Fits Audi A4 A6 A8 S6 V8 RS4 RS6 TT wheels rims (item 380056838485 end time Aug-27-08 08:17:04 PDT)

What do you think? I have a 2000 A6 Avant 2.8, is that the right offset for my car? I have 2 Falken Ziex 235/45/17 tires sitting in my garage, will the tires I have fit to these wheels no problem, can anyone tell me about the quality of these? Going to paint my calipers up as well, can't wait!

Thanx guys!

Don

what are those RS6 reps? keep in mind they are replicas. not the real deal. yes they are nice though. Is it just me or does the ad not once list the bolt pattern. please check the bold pattern before you buy them because the make replicas with all different bolt patterns. i believe audi is 5x120 et 35ish...they say 17x7.5 et35 which sounds good for the wheels. just make sure the bolt pattern is correct....

You wont get quality when spending $400 on new wheels.
Dont be surprised if one blows up when you hit a pot hole.
...and 17s?? You need at least an 18

You noob, it's 5x112.

17" is a no-no for this wheel. Looks really awkward. They need to be 18".

just about any wheel, including those in 17"s, can be pulled off if your low enough.

OP, if you are at stock height, i would perosonally try and find some in 18"....

Replica wheels FTL! They bend easily and are heavy.

Good point, I will double check, also, I get leary when a wheels listing says the wheels will fit an A4, A6, AND a TT, aren't the TT, A6 2.7T, and the A6 V8 cars different from the regular A6s in terms of offset and stuff?

Good point about the quality, dunno if I can afford a good 18 wheel, can barely afford a cheap 18 setup with tires.

Not as awkward as my 16s though, right?

What does FTL mean?

Good points all guys, thanx, I think the thing for to do is to look for a set of used OEM ones and try to get lucky on the price....

Thanx again!

FTL means "for the lose/loss"... In other words they don't approve.

They are right about questionable quality with cheap knockoffs. Some are ok, some will bend relatively easily. If you can find a decent condition set of used OEM wheels, you'd be better off.

there is a place called raderwerks.com they sell nice replica wheels. they are VERY popular on vortex and they are advertisers. Russ is usually the guy that posts on vortex advertising for the company. They seem very reputable and looks like they have quality products. take a look. the have the wheels you want. RS6 replica in 5x112 et 35. I would call them and talk to russ or post on vortex and PM him if you have questions and what not. here is a link. Rderwerks - Wheels

I bought the same style of wheels on the discount tire website. They're 18's though. I think I paid like 550 with tax and everything. I've had them almost a year and no bends or anything. I've hit plenty of potholes too and no damage so far. I would buy them from discount tire if I was you.
