Help with wheels

I am looking to get my wheels rechromed for my 330i ZHP. The wheels are pictured below if anyone cares or maybe it matters for rechroming. I don't know if these were chromed from the factory or if they were aftermarket, but at any point they are now chipping/peeling. I asked the place I'm getting my service at today and they said they had done it once for a customer at about $350 per rim .

I then called wheels america today and they are asking 800 + 100 for shipping + tax. At that price it seems a little dumb to rechrome when I could get brand new rims (these or others) in the $1000 range. Are there any other options (powder coating, crayola crayons, etc) for repairing these? There is only slight (less the an inch) of curb rash on 1 wheel so I don't really need them reworked.

Thanks for the help.
-Bill

chroming wheels that were never chromed is cheaper than rechroming (just the process of removing the old chrome is more costly)

There is a place in california I had my wheels done from my former Viper GTS but it was back in 01 and rates have probably gone way up plus I don't remember the name (sorry)
