Bad tire wear...

My front driver side tire is wearing really badly on the inside... I just had an alignment done so I have no clue why it is how it is... it's not rubbing anything but it's wearing way too much compared to the outside (it's getting to the point where it'll need replacing within 1000 miles or so...)...

What are the possible causes of this?

Just to note, my car seems to very lightly pull to the right, so I'm assuming since I'm usually 'holding' the wheel left a bit it would wear out the inside left tire?... could this be due to bad tie rods? I'm going to order some asap as that's the only thing I could see causing the issue but I'm not sure

Any help is appreciated... I don't want to replace tires non stop...

Thanks in advance..

Bad alignment? Do you have left-right play on that wheel when it's off the ground?

Probably a bad alignment...

What alignment specs did they do?

Toe was close to 0... I'm going to replace the tie rods and go to Anthony to see if there's any change... as for play, there's very very slight play but on the right wheel, not left... which would explain pulling to the right I guess...

Good thinking to go replace tierods then align again?

Oh and I had my 328 aligned at the same place at least 5-6 times and there was never anything weird like that... that's why I'm assuming it's tie rods..

How many miles does your car have? if it's close to 100k then I would definitely replace the tie rods and check the ball joints on the control arm.

I would double check the toe setting on the car..

80K... I'll check the ca ball joints too but they seemed solid today with a quick glance..

+1. Even if the alignment was done properly, if suspension parts are worn and there is play, the settings will move around. However, with the amount of wear you are describing, I'm thinking the alignment is off again, or perhaps the locknut on the tie rod was left loose

If I can scrape enough cash, I'll get both CAs with the bushings as well as both tie rods, but tierods are definitely being replaced within a week or two... there's just way too much wear for me to keep driving...

That's a very good possibility.. There is no way you can wear out your tires in 1k miles if your toe is a little off. Your toe must be wayyyyyyyyy off.

Yea I don't know enough to visually tell when it's a little vs a lot off... I'm going to pull off the boots tonight and see wtf is going on under there... it would have to be toe out for it to wear on the inside like that right?

Look straight down at your front wheel while the steering wheel is straight.

Driver...

Pass...

Toe definitely looks off(out) on driver side, but like I said, I'm not sure how to tell if/when it's too much... how bad does it look?
